Updates and improvements to our Targeted Loci Database

We’re proud to announce a major update to our Targeted Loci Database that adds over 19,000 full-length 16S, 18S, and ITS sequences spanning more than 15,000 bacteria, archaea, and fungal species. Additionally, we’ve enriched sequence diversity for over 2,000 exsting organisms, improved accuracy, and made optimizations to maximize species-level detection. With these updates, our Targeted Loci analysis delivers more comprehensive, accurate results, and it’s available now for all One Codex users.

Comprehensive and accurate bacterial isolate characterization using multi-locus sequence typing

We’ve just released an updated MLST analysis that includes improved support for short and long-read sequencing data. In addition to these core improvements, we’ve also expanded our organism coverage to support schemes from over 100 clinically and environmentally relevant species. We hope these updates, which are immediately available to all One Codex users, make it even easier to analyze your isolate sequencing data.
